What you will do:
As a Senior Staff Scientist, you will be responsible for project management including working with cross-functional teams to execute timely development, validation and commercial launch of combination orthopedic medical devices (with biologics and/or pharmaceuticals) and facilitating instruments to meet global technical and regulatory requirements that have significant impact on the company's strategic goals.
Responsibility to design, develop and launch new Biologics medical devices that contain proteins globally
Lead cross-functional teams to complete assigned projects according to complex project management techniques
Design and perform complex analytical testing of Biologic materials across multiple specialty disciplines in biologic orthopedic medical device development and manufacture including chemical engineering, process engineering, packaging engineering, materials science and design
Work with outside contract research organizations and universities to perform preclinical testing
Develop and manage project timelines and provide reports to executive management
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent required
6+ years of medical device and/or pharmaceutical product development experience
Master's Degree or PhD p
1+ years of team leadership experience
Highly technical understanding of biologic materials including proteins and cells, growth factors
Pre-clinical testing experience
Demonstration of creative problem solving of complex Biologics materials
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Chemical engineering, process engineering, packaging engineering, materials science and/or design experience
